Weymouth Club - I think I'm going to like it here...

A few weeks ago we went to the Weymouth Club to try it out.  This place is like being on vacation (aside from the working out part).

They have an awesome supervised playroom.  My boys are famous for giving me a hard time when it comes to things like this especially if it's something new.  They took one look at the place and ran right in, they didn't even say bye!

While the kids were being thoroughly entertained I got a tour of the facility and then attempted to work out.  It's always intimidating "going back to the gym"...why is this so awkward??  What I love about this gym is that it's huge but they have a smaller loft area that is sort of a mini version of the big part of the gym.  I chose this area to hide out and work out.  While my kids where still in the playroom having fun, I went in the steam room, showered...ah...I know, who the hell do I think I am?? LOL.

I went to get the kids and as promised we went to the outdoor (fabulous!) pools...

The other great thing is that there is an indoor splash park/kid pool for rainy days or during cold weather.

After I finally got them to get out of the pool, Nolan asked if they could go back in the babysitting playroom.  I thought who are you and what have you done with my Nolan?!  LOL.  They have been begging to go back.  Oh and that night, they went to bed early and slept like rocks.  Thank you Weymouth Club...sign me up!

Hard Work Pays Off - Cohasset Triathlon 2011

Since posting this, we lost our dear friend Caren.  Caren passed away suddenly in October, leaving her husband and two young children Rylee and Reid.  We are a deeply saddened by the loss of this young, beautiful and inspiring person.  The girls (the honey badgers!), along with Caren's husband Brian, will compete in Cohasset Triathlon 2012 in Caren's honor.

I got up early this morning to witness some greatness.  I went down to Sandy Beach in Cohasset, MA to cheer on my amazing friends as they embarked on their first triathlon.  I know first hand how hard these girls trained.  I started training with them months ago but sustained an injury (40 is tough!) and couldn't bounce back in time to train properly.

From our first 5K back in November, these girls -Maureen, Heather, Donna, Joanna and Caren -trained their butts off.  Today is proof of their hard work and determination.  They are truly an inspiration.  I am beyond proud of them.

Here are a bunch of pictures of the "Bad **s Honey Badgers" (if you don't know what I am talking about go to YouTube and search "honey badger" (it's hilarious) you will see why they have dubbed themselves the bad **s honey badgers:

The Perfect Allergy-Free Cookie

Sean and I made our weekly run to Good Health in Quincy to get his usual allergy-free "bread" and some other things that are hard to find in the regular supermarket.  On this particular day we were very excited to find a new "Enjoy Life" cookie.  Sean picked out the Sugar Cookie and Chocolate Chip.

We ran to the car and I let him try one...

Sean:  "I love them, because they crunchy and I LOVE crunchy"!

I tried one too.  They are really good, like a real cookie.  We usually get their soft cookies which are good but I think these are going to be Sean's new favorite.  The smile on his face was priceless.

You can get coupons if you go to Enjoy Life's website http://www.enjoylifefoods.com/.

Here is the allergy and ingredients information:
