Fun Time at Disney on Ice Treasure Trove

The day after Christmas we kicked off school vacation week with Disney on Ice Treasure Trove at the TD Garden in Boston
My boys (ages 4 & almost 6) loved it.
Here are some highlights from the show:
 Mickey and the Gang!
Alice in Wonderland
My boys two favorites - Peter Pan

 ...and Aladdin
The Lion King was a big hit too...

My favorite - the 7 Dwarfs from Snow White

The Little Mermaid
   Tangled!
Princess and The Frog
There was definitely something for everyone.  The music is great, you couldn't help but sing along or in my Sean's case, dance along...he was really feeling it...wish I took some video of that, he was too cute.  The show kept their attention the entire time which was SO GREAT!!
(still time to catch a the show - click on Ticketmaster for info)
The boys were lucky enough to have a meet and greet with Mickey and Minnie after the show.
Sean told me that it was definitely the "real" Mickey and that he didn't really like Minnie because she is a girl and she is for girls, but he loves Mickey.  Nolan said he loved them both and went on (and on) to tell Sean that boys can like Minnie LOL.

On the way out, because we were in the TD Garden, we had to get a Bruins picture!

The Rockettes Were Fabulous!

I went to the Rockettes Thursday night with my Mom, my Aunt Susan and my BFF Kerri.  The show was amazing.
We met at Viapiano, a great place for a really good quick bite and drink before a show.  Then we walked over to the Wang Theatre a little bit early to take it all in.  Just being in the Wang Theatre is exciting in itself.  The history, the ornate detail, the holiday decorations.  It makes you feel so fancy.

We met up with my good friend Laura.
My Aunt Susan and my Mom
The show was fantastic.  The costumes, the sets, the special effects, the singing and the dancing...OMG the dancing...so many different high-energy dance routines.  I was in complete awe.

We had such a great time.  This magical and uplifting show definitely put us all in the holiday spirit.

Me and Kerri

I was given a 4 pack of tickets to facilitate my review of the show

Bunnies, Puppies and Wrestling with the Holidays

This past weekend was full of kid's Christmas fun!

My office has a great Holiday party for the kids every year.  Pictures with Santa, treats and games.
It's only 2 hours which was great.  In and out and no gets hurt.  With the way my kids were wrestling on the floor, I can't believe no one got hurt!  Ugh, why do boys do this?  Although...no one else's boys at the party were doing this.  While everyone else was doing the hokey pokey, my two were rolling around on the floor killing each other.  I got lots of  "I see you've got your hands full."  *sigh*

The next day my brother invited us to a family Christmas party at Dorchester Yaht Club.
This company called Barn Babies brought puppies, bunnies, kittens, a pig and a baby goat.  The kids got to hold all the animals.  They loved it.
This little piggy was exhausted
warning:  the goat likes to eat hair
(Nolan really thinks he is getting a dog for Christmas, God help me)
They had pony rides.  Nolan wanted no part of it, but Sean loved it!
Then Santa came in by boat.
Thankfully there was no wrestling on this day.  Everyone was on their best behavior.  The animals certainly helped and I had lots of back-up - Nana, Papa and Uncle Billy.
The holiday season is in full swing and I love (most of) it!

A Brush with Fame at Wahlburgers!

Last Saturday night, I went with two of my BFFs to Wahlburgers.  Wahlburgers is a cool burger joint the Wahlberg brothers opened this past fall.

It was definitely busy but we didn't have to wait too long for a seat.  We had a glass of wine and checked  the place out while we were waiting.  The atmosphere is hip and fun.  Lots of pictures of the Wahlberg family growing up.  The restaurant is decorated with references to Wahlberg's accomplishments-- movies, Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch and NKOTB!

We sat at the bar.

The bartenders were great.
We all got the "Single Decker" burger and shared fries and sweet potato tots - everything was delicious.  I would've taken pictures of the food but I was distracted because...Donnie Wahlberg walked by and sat behind us!  I am not kidding!!

On his way out he did stop to pose for a few pictures and chat with some people...
...including us!!

We were like giddy schoolgirls.  He was really nice, friendly and didn't seem bothered by all the attention.
Great place.  Great food.  If you go, have your camera ready, you never know who you might see!
